Well, could this be Prince Xizor? Doesnt look like it, but certainly acknowledges his spieces in the Clone Wars. Some other great images being teased ahead of the Maul/Vizsla appearance such as the Mustafar Fortress below.

Sackhoff will be the first female Mandalorian warrior we’ve seen on not only the show but the Star Wars franchise in general. Her episode, set to air midway through the Cartoon Network series’ fourth season, reunites Padawan Ahsoka Tano with her Separatist friend Lux, who’s renounced Count Dooku’s galaxy spanning war against the Republic. To oppose Dooku, Lux has sought refuge with the Death Watch, a Mandalorian terrorist group. In case you’ve forgotten your Expanded Universe lore, the Mandalorians are the helmeted warrior race that spawned Jango and Boba Fett. When last seen, the Death Watch were led by a platinum-haired militant voiced by Jon Favreau (whose Cowboys & Aliens will make its debut at Comic-Con), who will be returning to the Lucasfilm series this season as a Big Bad. But the sight (or rather, sound) of Sackhoff returning to the space opera genre, with her character this time appearing in chrome-domed glory herself, is cause for a major geekquake. So say we all?

One of our rather seriously awesome podcast facebook fans Michael Lovero shared with us yet another Sandtroopers leaked (?) image of the prototype mail away Boba Fett.
We were given a high res image many months ago by Hasbro for Toy fair of the cardback but this is the first image of the figure. First impressions are good but this is heavily based of the TAC Fett used most famously for the animated debut fett, and is not the best mould. With the guns from the Mcquarrie white fett this is not bad for a mail away but shame we could not get the evolutions/Vintage build.

When Kenner relaunched the Star Wars toy line in 1995, Boba Fett was included in the second wave, but this figure was based on his appearance in Return of the Jedi (ROTJ). Kenner did finally release Boba with a rocket-firing backpack in 1996…although it was an oversized accessory that was from the toymakers’ imagination. It wasn’t until 1996 that Boba Fett was finally made into an action figure from TESB…this time as part of the Shadows of the Empire multimedia crossover event, as part of a special comic pack with IG-88. In 2000, Hasbro (who had taken over Kenner) released the Special Edition figure in a unique boxed packaging, commemorating 300 action figures in the Star Wars line. This ultimate version of Boba Fett from TESB featured a very detailed sculpt, extra articulation, and once again came complete with a rocket-firing backpack. This was the definitive version of Boba Fett for several years to come…

One of our most poular posts over the last few months was getting a sneak peek at the new 2011 Star Wars Lego sets (see related posts below). The new 2011 Lego catalogue arrived yesterday for us in the southern hemisphere and shoud be with others soon no doubt. Yet more awesome images and sets were shown (scans to follow-Mace windu set appeared to be missing?) but while thats going on Seam_73 has the sets in hand…(he stays in the Netherlands, very close to Lego HQ). You lucky, lucky man!

New Star Wars Mandalorian Gaurd from Clone wars, mini review! Picked this up at the end of May online and since it isnt even in stores I was pretty excited to get this on too. Picture is not that great but this is a nice figure with moveable visor and good upper articulation, but sadly Hasbro no knee artic again? Cheaping out dudes!
Accessories and detail are great, but again comes with a silly oversized projectile blaster that clips on to the shield. Other than that it’s a mandalore, can you believe as a kid we got two secs of Boba on screen now we have seen his world and others, kinda blows me away but perhaps not this figure : ) Still great fun to have and see this in the flesh and whilst not the best, not bad. 6/10.
