The previously hinted at MTT polybag 30059 gets released along with some re-releases from various polybags that are now sold to distributors in Japan & Taiwan for 400 yen (€ 4 $5 AUD/USD) Each set is sold in a plastic capsule identifiable by the color of an aspect of the ship. Expect these to be worth a few dollah on the 2nd hand market…

Ok were a day behind on this but, we were hoping Lego would have a much more Hi-res image. Sadly not, as they have in fact decided to pull it from their site even though half the world now knows. Sigh.

Still what we do know is this is set 10221 and when it’s called ‘Super Star Destroyer’ The mean ‘Super’! In fact this is ‘The Executor’ along with a mini star destroyer, and some previously released figures however, a new Dengar.

Part of the Ultimate Collector series (a ‘la the Shuttle Tyderium etc) this is gonna be one expensive set, even just to get that Dengar mini fig!.

This guy is a major talent, and the work he puts in to these shots is mindblowing! He says;

This is one of the most laborious shoot I ever did. I do not even know how many frames these sessions took, I did it three times. This is the best frame of the first session, I think it has a near perfect light, the illusion of a vast snowy valley/plain is just great.

The thing I wasn’t comfortable with was the way the troopers were all facing the destroyer, I felt that there was no contact to the photo with only the backs visible. So, I rebuilt the setup and shot it again. After I dismantled the whole thing I noticed that it was all out of focus. I built it the third time and got the frame I eventually uploaded.

I’d love a cel shaded Star Wars game like this, but doubt we’ll see it.
Still the old Yoda Stories had a kinda cuteness to it like this. Hope there is!
