Erik Bauersfeld, 90 years old, performed the voices of Admiral Ackbar and Bib Fortuna in “Return of the Jedi.” He’s still never seen the original “Star Wars,” and the recording was a very small job in his respected broadcasting career. But he has developed a nice relationship with fans of the series, returning their letters and refusing to charge money for autographs.

We were all fans of his amazing art long before we were blessed with his friendship. But once you got to know Ralph it was impossible not to become a fan of Ralph the man.
Ralph was a very special person for many more reasons than his undeniable brilliance with a brush. He was an especially kind, sensitive, deep, modest, funny and fascinating gentleman. And as fine a role model as any one could have wished for.
His influence on design will be felt forever. There’s no doubt in our hearts that centuries from now amazing spaceships will soar, future cities will rise and someone, somewhere will say…
“that looks like something Ralph McQuarrie painted.”

Under the robes is basically the best han Solo figure ever made by Hasbro, the VOTC Han Solo with brown pants. (That’s trousers UK possee, Han has not crapped himself).
Currently only available in the Hasbro SDCC Death Star, but soon to be out in the Vintage collection, this is very worthy of a purchase. The head sculpt is brand new and much more realistic, and an improved trench coat.
