JAKe sent an update to tell us of his new book. “How to Speak Droid with R2-D2”, coming Fall 2013!

frustratingly stubborn. This convenient sound guide will help new droid users bypass that malfunction and utilize them to their full capacity. Featuring helpful scenarios—like convincing a droid to play back full messages, serve beverages and hors d’oeuvres at events, diagnose and repair mechanical issues on an X-wing, or just walk the dog—plus a sound module of 10 different droid phrases demonstrated by R2-D2, this handbook is a necessity for any new droid user.

Urma Droid is an expert on human-droid relations, special­izing in R2 character studies. She lives and conducts research on Coruscant.

JAKe was born in Hull, England, but was raised by Wookiees from a young age. He speaks the Wookiee language fluently, but can communicate with an R2 unit enough to get his pencils sharpened. He lives and works in London.

Surprisingly the B-wing has a printed piece which is always kinda nice at this scale, but yet again those LEGO planets…what do you do with them!? Sometimes you just wanna cry when manufacturers make exclusives. I swear they murder small kittens and woodland animals at times they can be so evil releasing something so cool for collectors in such limited quantities, on one continent, at one event. Ugh.

Especially when you plenty of scalpers will be ensuring that they buy more then they need, and we all pay through the nose for this online. Slim chance this may be available at hasbrotoyshop.com AFTER SDCC, but again traditionally scalped well.

Celebration Europe II on the other hand may get an exclusive as good as this? Time will tell. Bloody hope so!

We’ll if your fortunate to be going to SDCC I guess as a  reward for braving the crowds you get the privilege to buy one of these at….wait for it… $45USD which will be sold at the Hasbro booth at the San Diego Convention Center July 18-21. Well I guess it IS two figures and the $5 extras is well… because they can charge it.
